Autumn Herbal Harvest - A Hands-On Herbal Weekend

Get in touch with the true taste of autumn by foraging for plants to use in making herbal medicines and tasty autumnal preserves. Join us for a highly-informative, practical weekend comprising of herbal walks and plant identification and picking seasonally-available herbs and wild food plants, followed by hands-on experience of preserving some nutritious foods and preparing simple yet powerful herbal remedies.

Herbalism is the use of plants and remedies derived from plants to help the body function more efficiently and in doing so, assist in fighting disease, redressing imbalances and restoring the body's own equilibrium.

The course will run from 10am-4pm each day and includes a vegetarian lunch. Accommodation is available at Middlewood for a small extra charge.

Course Tutor:

The course will be led by Julia Russell, an experienced local Herbalist who uses traditional European herbal remedies, plus iridology (analysis of the eye) and a Naturopathic approach in dealing with health matters.
