Shiatsu

There are times when many aspects of our lives, physical, emotional, mental or spiritual, become very stressful. Shiatsu offers a way of redressing the ensueing imbalance by using stretching and lengthening exercises, and pressure techniques. These can be useful for treating specific injuries or more general symptoms of ill-health. Regular Shiatsu treatments can help prevent a build-up of stressful symptoms in our lives.

Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience, and can help with the effects of stress by focusing directly on the symptoms that occur. These might be insomnia, low energy levels, lower back ache, anxiety, fear and anger, to name but a few.

The patient stays fully clothed during a Shiatsu treatment. The practitioner usually works on the floor using a mat or futon, or might prefer to use a massage table. Shiatsu can also be given to the client whilst they are seated in a chair if necessary.

Following a treatment you might experience increased vitality, and an enhanced feeling of well-being, yet feel deeply relaxed.
